Cps ?

I was reading a post and a couple of the guys were talking about this CPS. I don't know where it is or what it is and if I could get some information on it.I would greatly appreciate it. From what I understand, if it goes bad it can leave you stranded. I work on my truck a lot just to keep it up. And I don't know anything about a CPS. Thank you
