Just found my window sticker, the truck was originally ordered by a Dealer out of Worthington MN, that explains why it has a block heater in North Carolina.

I live in South Texas. My brand new truck was ordered by someone who passed on it. It has a block heater option from the factory. I am certain that I will never use it.

I plugged mine in the other day. I wanted to verify that it does work in cold weather. Engine seemed to heat up very nicely, from what I can tell.

I thought about plugging it in for fun, but it rarely gets below 30 here. Maybe one of these years it will get down in the teens again.

I just wanted to verify it worked while the truck is under warranty. It'd be my luck that if I didn't, when I went to use it, the warranty would be out, and the heater too!
