Guys. I'm considering a new 2015 XLT 4x4 Supercrew with 302 equipment group and tow package and either the 2.7 or 3.5 Eco.
I'm in Houston. Can someone give me a breakdown of current rebates and ballpark of what I should be paying. I have been to Truecar but their prices seem much higher than what others on this forum have managed to negotiate. Thanks.
At the moment Ford has a "Friends and neighbors" pricing event going on which gives employee pricing to everyone. If you search inventory on the Ford website you can see the discounted price.
This starts you out at a solid deal, and perhaps you can do a little better from that.
Rebates and incentives are typically regionally based unless as Tom mentioned, a corporate offering.
GM is currently offering a 20% discount on selected 2015 model cars and trucks. I've said numerous times that when truck shopping, knock 20% right off the top and make an offer based on that. The money is there to support that kind of a discount.
You got Mac Haik Ford right there Houston doing nationwide searches I've yet to find anyone advertising lower prices than them. From what I was told by salesperson just this past weekend while cruising through lot $10,000 off msrp is what you can expect ......as always you could do better but $10k off is a great start

I have seen their ads. I have been on their site. I was offered some deals right at $10k off MSRP. That might be the best I can do. Have not found the right color and options I want yet. Getting slim pickens on the 2015 models.
F-150 Special Retail Customer Cash $1000
Retail Customer Cash $500
Ford Credit Retail Bonus Customer Cash (the one you get for taking the higher rate) $750
Retail Bonus Customer Cash $1000
Bonus Customer Cash $1500
All good till Jan 4 2016
There are all the other rebates as well, college, military, horse club, loyalty, etc
The particular truck I picked has a $2000 discount package for XLT Lux Chrome or Sport Pkg. While not a rebate per say, its extremely likely to be shown as part of the "$10K" savings.
The truck I picked is a 3.5 EB with "High MSRP" of $55390. The Sticker price you'd assume the 10k off is based on is $53390. The Friends and neighbors price with the rebates I listed above is $44709. Instant $10K savings based on common advertising methods, and a good fair price with some room to work the figures a little better. And a damn nice truck.
I'm trying to talk myself out of going by dealer on black Friday
I haven't heard of any better rebates on black Friday, though it's near the end of the month so you may be able to squeeze a little more. November was a short selling month so most of us would be happy to find a way to get another deal done.
Didn't really think Friday would make a big difference but end of the month combined with everything else......could be the perfect storm for me to weasel into a new one and stay married
The deal breaker for me is none of the dealers want to give a decent trade in amount. They won't go above the high teens for my 2012 Screw xlt 4x4 Ecoboost. 1st dealer offered me 16k.

Don't let a shiny new truck tempt you to make a deal you will regret. You've got a great truck that has a lot of life left in it, and there will be plenty of deals to be had in the future.

Which is absurd considering they'll put it on there used lot for $25k.......I looked at one today didn't get into numbers but the salesperson did elude to them not offering as much on trade ins with all the current discounts.......if I find out that's the case then they can put a '15 where the sun don't shine I'll stay in my old classic 2013
Other than having to figure out the loss of the tax advantages (in some states), you could always buy a new truck outright and sell your old truck yourself. If you truck is in excellent shape with reasonable mileage, 16K is way low.

Here in the state of Washington that is part of the problem with low trade offers. On a new vehicle purchase you only pay tax on the difference of the cost of a new vehicle and the amount of your trade.
