I've looked for info on the inertia switch to c if there's more like a modual , but no straight answers , so Is truck supposed to not run when switch has been triggered , cause it didn't change on mine .
It's classed as a crash sensor.
All it is supposed to do is open the power to the fuel pump if actuated from a hard front impact.
It's purpose is to prevent the pump from feeding a fire should battery power and engine still be operational after the impact.
It is resettable.
Located behind the passenger side kick panel toward the top where you can feel it.
Every Ford vehicle with fuel injection has one from about 1985 on.
Good luck.
Got new inertia switch , didn't help the no start but did need new one any way cause wouldn't always shut truck off when triggered , so back to drawing board to c y truck doesn't start a couple mins after I turn truck off , theft light blinks always but never flashes code
It was a long time since your first post.
The Theft lamp, what happens if you get into the no start condition, cycle the key off then back to Run then let it set for about 2 minutes.
If there is a PATS related issue, it should flash a 2 digit code.
A flashing Theft light would not allow the motor to start as a normal action by design, so lets begin here.
Good luck.
Cranks no start, got stranded at flipping Walmart today for an hr then all a sudden it started but ruff at first , I've tried new relays ,new fuel pump , this morning it would start if I pumped the gas but doesn't make sense on injection, I'm not getting any codes
Yeah I have similar issues. To help remedy this I took come throttle cleaner and sprayed the holy crap out of the butterfly valve and inside the intake. Let it sit for a little bit and then turn it over. It's going to run really rough at first because the fumes will be entering the intake but after about 5-15 seconds it should clear up. I'd also get a can of seafoam and put it in the fuel tank and that should help with injectors and some carbon build up.
It is highly unlikely that either Seafoam or throttle body cleaner will resolve a "crank but does not fire" problem unless you're burning the the TB cleaner. Waste of time and money.

Describe EXACTLY what you are seeing the THEFT light do, both before you turn the key and afterwards. It is important that you (and we) know the status of the PATS system. Knowing that will help guide us to help you in the correct direction and avoid wasting more time and money.
is there a chance my fuel pressure regulator could cause this
Very unlikely. If the FPR fails, it's usually due to a leaky diaphragm and you end up with an engine that runs pig-rich and limps like a 3-legged dog.
You said the Theft Lamp flashes.
Have you addressed that, or has it stopped?
In any event you need fuel and spark for the motor to run.
The PATS can prevent starting, loss of fuel can be a no start, loss of spark can do the same, loss of power to the PCM, crank sensor etc.
One of these is your problem.
Seafoam is not the fix.
Good luck.
If the theft system is not the problem, Id be wondering about the fuel pump. but get the codes first. if the theft light is blinking......well its got to be resolved.....otherwise you are chasing your tail.

There are a lot of things to wonder about. We're trying to avoid wondering and guessing and tail-chasing by logically going through the process of HOW it's supposed to work and then identifying where the process fails.
