Weathertech Floor Mats

Do any of you have weather tech floor mats in an XL model truck??? I got mine yesterday and they slide around on the rubber floor. If you have them , what do you do to prevent them from moving around?? Maybe velcro tape??

Ironically, I ordered these $120.00 mats because my $40.00 mats were moving around!! Sucker!!!

Thanks for any help/suggestions.

I think they are designed for the XLT and lariat models that have the little plastic holder on carpeted floor.
I have a new F-150 XL with same vinvyl floor for work and have been thinking about just throwing some cheapie rubber mats on floor.
I would honestly try to return them or sell them to another member here!

hmmm that does sound annoying. I have them in my xlt and with the little plastic tab they stay put. I know at $120.00 the last thing you probably want to do is modify them but maybe you could spray some of that rubberized coating in a can on the bottom, might give you a little more grip?.. or create your own plastic tab somehow? velcro sounds like it has potential.. get some of that 3M velcro with the adhesive on the back.. could work?

3M weatherstrip adhesive might work and it would just clean off with mineral spirits, when you want to sell it and put them in your next truck, mine are on truck #2!

Thanks for the replies...I think I like the idea of the 3M weatherstrip adhesive, Might give that a try!

Could probably buy the hook, but I don't like the idea of drilling thru the floor, Justs seems wrong to put a hole in a perfectly good floor!!

Eaton I have the front (good) and back (bad) ones. I also have carpet on the floor and though they slid around so I bought some of the velcro tape that comes in a roll. I suck it on the bottom of the floor along the door and it seems to work well with the moving arround. It was something like this > Velcro Tape

I have these mats in my truck XL, they slid around a lot when I first got them and then after a while they stayed without sliding much. I think it has something to do with the mold release agent on the back. I think if you degreased them and your floor mat with some type of cleaner they will slide less. If you really need them to stay in on place you will need to glue them. I like mine as they cover the entire drivers and pass floor area and grab a lot of dirt and water. Try cleaning/washing them first. No glue needed IMHO.

Thanks Wilbur, I will definetly give them a good cleaning and see if that works for me.

Has anyone used the weathertech Digital Fit mats with a vinyl floor? Do they slide around much? I would have the two mat layout for a regular cab.

That is my issue...They slide around.

I tried washing them, that helped a little but not much. I used carpet tape and that seems to be helping, but still not perfect.

Just a thought, but what about putting a small screw in 2 of the corners. Not all the way through the floor board but just into the rubber floor, enough to keep them form moving around. I know you said you did not like the idea about putting holes in a good floor, but rubber on rubber, it's going to move and tape will not hold. You will need something more permanent to keep the from moving and sliding.
