1983 Back-up light cable missing

1983 Back-up light cable missing
Hello... first time poster on the forum. I have a 1983 F-150 Base 4.9L Manual 4 speed w/ 4WD and my back-up lights are not working... come to find out, the cable is nowhere to be found, but the two prong switch is in tact.
If I were to change the switch to a newer switch, were into the wiring harness do these plug? Looking for wire colors to be specific.

I'm having a problem with my reverse lights too, I have a wireing diagram at home that would really help you, the purple orange is the right color, you should be able to find another purple orange wire somewhere if I'm not mistaken, does the one you found go to the front or back of the truck?

The purple/orange that has been cut goes to the front of the truck. In reading some posts and seeing a few diagrams, it looks like that was to connect to the transmission switch and then continue on as the black/pink to the back
