Splining a torque converter

Splining a torque converter
I have a 94 with an e4od and 351 and I can't get the torque converter to spline on is there something involving the lockup that needs messed with

You have to jack with it until each of the shafts line up, spinning and yawing. Can be tricky but it shouldn't take much force, it'll go once it's lined up.

It's much easier to do with the trans standing on end, bellhousing up.

I took one off and put it back on a different e4od and it took two seconds so it's definitely doable it's still in the vehicle so tipping it up isn't possible hopefully this time the offending one will be that easy
