I have a 2011 Escape. When I punch in the entry 5 digit code on the door post, I hear a small "click" and the parking lights come on. The door locks, however, do not operate. When I use the key fob the locks do work. Does anyone have any idea what the problem is?
Thanks
Tom

Hi Tom,
As Scott suggested, you might want to try reprogramming your entry code. This information appears on page 105 of the fourth printing of your Owner's Manual. Download a free copy here: https://owner.ford.com/tools/account...11/Ford/Escape If you're still running into difficulty, I'd recommend making an appointment at your dealership for diagnosis. How many miles are on your Escape?
Thank you Scott and Crystal for your replies. I will try re-programming it. I have 72890 miles on it. It is actually my daughter's. She says she can't get blue tooth to recognize her phone either. She says she did it exactly by the instructions in the book. As far as the door code, all I did was get the numbers from under the shift console and use them. Was I supposed to do something more than that?
Tom

You're welcome, Tom. Regarding the issues with Bluetooth, I recommend getting in touch with my colleagues from the in-vehicle technology team. Here's a link to their profile: Ford Truck Enthusiasts Forums - View Profile: FordIVTteam If you decide to get your Ford Dealership involved with the door locks, let me know; I'll be able to step in and assist once you've received a diagnosis.
