adjust Remote Start circuits
I'm trying to figure out a way to change which circuits are activated when the truck remote starts. My objective is to have my upfitter switches work when the truck is running on the remote start. I have a large inverter wired to one of the upfitters and would like to be able to use it while the truck is running on the remote start. The idea is that I have the inverter wired to an outlet in the bed. I then have my fifth wheel wired so that it has a plug that goes into the pin box to run a few circuits (tv, outlets, etc). When we are actively traveling cross country we stop overnight and don't even unhook the trailer. It would be nice to be able to kick the remote start on the truck and run the inverter for a time to charge laptops and run the tv for a bit before bed. When the remote start timed out then the inverter would go off automatically. Don't know if it can be done but I figure why not ask if someone here has figured it out before and save myself some headaches.

I suspect your simplest method would be to buy an economical add-on remote start such as Viper. You don't need many functions or long distance start nor alarm/security of the high end units.
The add-on remote starts energize many more circuits than the factory unit does. And it might be cheaper in the long run verses blowing one of the modules such as the BCM.
