A shop installed some of these LED bulbs in my 2015 F350 because where I live only get about 5 hours of light all winter
They are bright. But when I engage my high beams they do not GE brighter. In fact they seem less bright once the fog lights go off.
The bulbs gave two strips of lights on two sides. The way they installed them the top strip of lights are on during regular lighting. And the bottom strip cones on when you engage high beams.
Is this correct? Or is there a different way they are intended to be sitting.
That seems to be the problem with led bulbs for headlights. High beams are NOT...Most guys don't use them on high and say the lows are fine..I'm sure in the future they will get figured out...lotsa heat to get out of there.
My LED headlights are the same. They don't get brighter on high beam, they just point higher. LED low beams with LED fogs on is more than enough light for me.
You may consider hybrid bulbs, LED low beam and HID high beams. I know they make them for motorcycles, I assume they make them for other vehicles as well?
