I have a 2006 E250, recently my wife was following me home after dark and told me I didn't have any tail lights, the brake lights, emergency flashers and turn signals all work. I might mention the license plate light doesn't work either. I have checked fuses and can't find any bad (I think either fuse #4 or #10 control the tail lights). Today I changed the light switch, still no lights. Since the van is a panel van the wiring harness is exposed, so I am able to inspect it for any damage easily, and I can't find any damage. A few months ago I was hit in the front drivers fender, but that has been repaired, I am wondering if there is anything in the relay / fuse box under the hood, since that was in the area of my previous damage. Any help or direction would be greatly appreciated, I'm about to pull my hair out, and I don't have any of that to spare.
I had an 05 E-350 that kept losing tailights whenever I towed a buddy of mines trailer. Turned out to be blowing a fuse under the hood. It was a diesel so not sure if that helps but I'd definitely check fuses under the hood.
Looking at an '05 EVTM the Central Junction Box (inside fuse block) has two fuses in slots F2.7 (10 amp) and F2.11 (15 amp) feeding the multifunction switch, either of which could feed your park/running rear lights. Question is are the front park/running lights working now? The fender damage may have pinched or crushed wire causing all this.
I'd check the fuses and for hidden wiring damage around the fender first.
