I just purchased the passenger side return line caps. when I was at my local ford dealer they were unable to find and tell me if the caps came with orings. they did not. the parts person also was unable to find them. does anyone know the size and type that should be used. I replaced the same side about a year ago with after market stuff and figured OEM would be better quality. not sure if I am correct on that assumption.
Get a whole pack of them because if you disturb the caps later, replace injectors etc., you may well have to replace a few again.
And they're super cheap.
Here's an install hint: Coat the O-rings with wheel bearing grease when installing. It seems to help a ton; I used to use Vasoline and had tons of problems with them not wanting to stop leaking. Once I switched to wheel bearing grease, problem went away.
Part of this is that it seems like wheel bearing grease won't "melt" and disappear from the engine temps. I've seen rings of the grease on the injector above/below the O-rings after months of running.
