if your talking battery corrosion or wires, I like to wire brush and clean, then spray with a lithium white grease. Goes on runny and covers, then turn semi hard like a paint cover after a day.

We sell a battery cleaner say at Advance, it'll rove all corrosion, then wash / dry and follow with battery terminal spray that coats it.

Or you can clean well with bristle brush, water, and A&H baking soda, rinse, dry, coat post and terminals with battery terminal grease or slather some axle grease on them.

Permatex Battery Terminal spray is an excellent product. I've used it on all of my batteries for over 15 years and it works great. You can get it at most auto supply stores. While you're there get a battery terminal cleaner brush and a pack of 2 battery terminal bolts and nuts. As noted earlier take off the cables, cover the area of the terminals with baking soda (sodium bicarbonate) then rinse with water and dry with an old rag. Use the battery brush to get the terminals and cable sockets clean and bright. Replace the terminals and spray the Permatex on them generously.
