Anyone think this can be fixed? off my 73 f100. Metal part inside rocks back and forth. It slips on the wiper switch shaft. sometimes it grabs okay, next you have nothing. It also came off by just pulling on it not hard at all.
well tried that and now the metal part has come completely out of the plastic!
think some shoe glue or other thick stuff globbed in there then shove the metal back in and stick it on the truck would work? or should i just bite the bullet for a 'new' one?
Just straighten the bent tab part and use a little 2 part epoxy or JB weld to hold it back in the ****.
AFTER it dries use a flat tip to compress the tab a bit then reinstall. If not fixiable hit up a JY, 73-79 is pretty much the same ****. Use the flat tip trick to get the JY one off.
