Strange Wiper Issue

So, my wipers have worked just fine for all my truck's life up until now, and I'm stumped as to what the problem is. When I move the switch into any position where my wipers should activate, they don't. But after a while, they start to work, and will work normally unless they are not in use for too long. The times are very sporadic, sometimes they will work after 5 seconds, sometimes it will take up to 10 minutes. I plan on replacing the combo switch pretty soon.

Replaced mine earlier this year(2011 f350); wipers would go on by themselves, and washer button would not always work. Was an easy change. Everything has worked perfect since then.
