That does'nt always work it's easier to just cut it.

if ya cut it, the signal will still get out out, albeit not as strong as with the antenna, but if you put a pin in the coax, it shorts the dieletic right to ground, thereby frying the final output(s) on the radio in question....and after that, if it's a straight cb radio(not a 10 meter conversion) it wont recieve as well ;-)
