I'm glad I have my investment. The funny thing is I've never lost money on an Excursion, but always made money.
Bought my 04 for $12k drove it a year and put 20k on it, sold it for $14.5k
Bought my '00 for $8k drove it 2 months and it was totaled, walked away with $12k for the truck
Bought my '02 for $10.8k and now have nearly 40k more miles on it and I could sell it in my market for what I paid if not more....but I'll just hold on to it.
I fugure it's only a matter oftime for all Excursions to grow in value. There's a strong (albiet small) fanbase and an ever shrinking number of trucks. I know a local guy that has three of them. Friends at a local shop were just doing some rust repair on one of them.
My 2005 V10 just turned 40,000 miles and is garaged. I figure we'll have it for the long haul. I bought it new and can't think of anything with which I'd replace it. The old girl gets lots of compliments.
Paid 19k for my 04 limited 4x4 diesel with head studs and deletes in pueblo gold super clean with 140k miles from a dealership in Fort Myers,FL tried to talk'em down but they weren't having it.
Purchased 8/11/15. My '08 F250 Harley Davidson edition and my wife's '15 Honda Pilot limited rarely get driven this Excursion is our all-purpose vehicle.
There must be 20 for sale in the Austin/San Antonio area. Most of the 7.3 models have higher asking prices than the 6.0 models. There is an all pueblo gold 03 7.3 up for sale locally with 181k for $16k.

I've seen several for sale in the Houston, Austin / South Texas area. My major concern is flood damage. I'm in the market for another 7.3 but I'm scared of the region with the floods this year.
As they should, only made them for 3 years in the whole platforms. Trucks too.
The 7.3s are were produced for 3.5 model years (2000-2003.5). The 6.0s were around for about 1.5 model years (2003.5-2005) so I'm confused as to what you're getting at here.
