Crystal,
I can not get it to another dealer they torn the engine down to quote. I had opened a case with ford no help on this issue. Out of factory warranty I just don't understand how Ford is not at least controlling labor cost for the customer under the TSB 15-0131 states 9.2 hours of labor and knowing this is an issue for as long as the have. seriously how many tsb's have been released for these trucks and I am out $4200 at 68,000 miles with no assistance not even for the labor hours being controlled that is sad.

Thanks for following up. Have you spoken to the service manager at your dealership yet? I'd recommend that as a next step as they'll be in the best position to answer your questions. Also, which model year is your truck?

Thanks to Crystal for the push. Dealer made it make noise this morning but, couldn't get it to make it happen again this am dah. I told them its only on cold start up only. This is the same problem I had with Klaben ford in Kent ohio hell they couldn't change oil in my wife's new Lincoln mkx with out getting grease all over the dash. I wish people would listen that we are having with our own vehicles. Now this dealer is telling me that the current TSB is not the problem. The noise is definitely under front cover, but what do I know. I've had the truck started by my wife while I have my head under the hood to find the noise. I've delt with this for over 2 years now I think I know where the gd noise is coming from. I don't think the have a "technician" that is capable of this procedure. This dealer has taken care of other stuff for us, but those were minor fixes. Now I'm beginning to wonder.

Today I found out that there is no common ground between dealers and your friendly customer service managers are worthless they will side with the dealer first. The others that have complained about this and their dealer did the tsb no questions asked. I feel getting the csm from ford involved made things more difficult. Tread lighty.
