I am in IT and find I want less technology in my vehicle, not more. What these trucks are rolling off the line with, tech-wise, is astounding. I'd bet there's a $10-15k mark up just to cover the whiz-bang-tech. No thanks...

Just give me a NA engine with power locks/doors/mirrors, tow package and limited slip diff in a quad cab and I'm calling it a day.

I've got my sites on an 4x2 XLT for right at $32k
Just as a reference for you, my XLT, 2wd, 5.0 V8, 302a package, tow package with integrated brake controller, electronic locking rear diff. with 3.55 rear. Sticker was 44,800, with dealer discount and incentives 36,000. Added the protection package, taxes and fees, out the door at 39,000. Some people may do better, I don't know, I was happy.

How can that be? If you build and price online the price is $40k.

I can only tell you what I paid and what the discount and incentives are that I got. I built my truck on line when the 2015 model year was on the Ford website, and the sticker was exactly what my sticker was. I left out that I have the Supercrew and tailgate step. Rounding out all the numbers, after taxes, fees, discounts, and incentives were all calculated, I walked out the door 5k under sticker. I thought that was decent. And they gave me a good deal on my trade. At the end of the day I got the truck I wanted at what I thought was a good price.

Congratulations. If you have the truck you want and your okay with the deal you got that's all that matters. Keep smiling.

Black leather has always appealed to me as well as a column shift. Can't get both I suppose so the column shift wins out.

My Expy has the console and the column shift and I still hate the console. I absolutely love the fold down middle seat in my entry level XLT.

I have a black leather bench seat with a column shift in my 2015 500a Lariat. It's also available with the 501a package, you only loose the bench seat and column shift when you step up to the 502a package with LED headlights, heated steering wheel, etc.
