After having the portable Ryobi air compressor and several batteries using their 18v battery system, I decided to buy my own Christmas present early.
Couldn't wait until Christmas and needed to wax the 5th wheel and truck so I had to open it early. This tool is amazing!
Now I wonder why I've been using my dad's old Monkey Wards corded unit for so long.

If it had any other name on it besides Ryobi I'd try it. Never had one of their products last much past the warranty.

 

I will not buy another battery operated tool unless it has lithium batteries!!! After you have one you'll never go back to NiCad's!

 

I don't disagree 69cj, I just understand these tools are a homeowner, not a contractor type tool and use them accordingly. At 39 bucks without the battery, I don't expect the best.

Bud, The batteries are lithium ion and they have an assortment from standard use to h/duty use too. Their whole line of products use the same battery and I've already got the mini compressor which I really like. Will pump up my truck and trailer tires, inflatable toys, etc and shuts off when the set tire pressure is met. Can't compare to tank types, but it gets the job done.

And No, I don't work for Ryobi!

 

Bob, I'm not criticizing you. I just feel Ryobi should be a tool in Harbor Freights line up. I am not a contractor, just a back yard wanna be mechanic past his prime.

 

Absolutely not offended. Just trying to help others that enjoy waxing their buggies without too much elbow grease.

 

I have had nothing but good experiences with the "newer" Ryobi Lithium line up. Dropped from ladders, used for high torque situations and what not and still going strong.

I am a big fan of cordless lithium tools that utilize the same battery pack that charges quickly. Just yesterday I was using my cordless lithium Ryobi angle grinder with a diamond blade to cut cinder blocks.

Thanks for the heads up on the buffer, might have to add it to my wish list.

 

Same with me-I have had great expertness with the newer Ryobi Lithium tools. I just order the buffer online-thanks for the tip!
