The only time in over 7 years that I've made time to watch TV is Monday night! I don't care if it's reruns or not....I get to pick out details and see how something was done. Monster Garage, American Chopper....my favorite "Must See TV"!
Not real big on Monster House, tho'. Just not the same.
yeah....I'm an OCC fan too.....they have a pretty cool website where you can see most of the bikes they have built too! and I love Monster garage too, some of the stuff they come up with...I really like the corvette mudbogger they made...how cool to see what people like Paul & Paul and Jesse James can come up with from scratch!
Man, I can't like that show. I grew up around bikes and I don't think the show does any justice to the OCC business. If they showed some more of the bike building and less of the drama, it would be tolerable. But I don't like all the drama- it's just stupid. If they want to call their show "American Choppers", they should make it about building the bikes. They should call this show "Contrived Biker Drama" and put it on in the afternoon for all the housewives to watch. Who wants to watch two burly biker guys get into catfights like a couple of teenage girls?
I think OCC is cool, but the show is stupid and it makes OCC look foolish.

Yeah, I agree with most posts. Im tired of the old man favoring the semi retarded one and the young one, both with little or no skill in building a bike, while bashing the kid with the brains who is making the bucks for daddy, so he can sit on his butt and make smart remarks and take all the credit for the show machines they build. Get more bike building and showing into the show and less soap opry.
My three favorite shows AMERICAN CHOPPERS,MONSTER GARAGE,and JUNKYARD WARS. Yes that was a cool apache bike that paul jr. built, but if not for paul sr, the show would not be worth watching, paul sr. makes the show more interesting
I have to tape American choppers, Monster Garage.I don't care if its a rerun or not.heck I was thinking of selling my vcr because there was nothing to watch before these shows and I got a dvd for watching movies.I just find it amazing that speed channel doesn't have these programs or anything close to them.
I also caught the "marathon" the other night. I work in a construction equipment company with my dad and two brothers and the show reminds me of real life. All the shouting, idle threats, and immature arguing between Paul Jr. and Sr. remind me of when we work together. Then you see them occasionally eating together or away from work and it's obvious they all like each other and get along fine. Just like us, their bark is worse than their bite!!
I also love the show....
I think the argueing is what makes even more people tune- in, even if they have no interest in bikes..
You know how producers think...
Any was Jr. is a great desinger and builder, Cody is cool but he looks stoned all the time, and Sr, well Sr is just Sr...lol
And who can forget Vinnie lol..

If you watch carefully, you'll notice that almost everytime Paul jumps Jr's back, no matter how mad they seem to be at each other, at the end of the build, Paul Sr will tell the cameras that Paulie really pulled it off this time and he's proud of him.
I just wish he would tell his son on camera one time!
The half wit, according to dad, is only kept around to make pop smile.
I also this Jr's has some talent but he is no real fabricator. He just mocks a design from something he can look at. He is no custom fabricator like Jesse is. OCC doesn't make there own frames, tanks, fenders, forks, seats, engines, paint, or wheels. They farm out all of the work except the wiring, assembly and mild fabrication. I would love to see them try a ground up build like Jesse. Both builders are awsome, it impresses me most that they can see the finished product while still in raw materials. To be able to look at a pile of parts and know what the end result will be is just too cool, no matter what the profession.
there frames are made off site but were designed by OCC, paule did build the tank but had it painted off site because he hasnt any talent for drawing which he has stated many times. but he can see it in his head so he tells them what he wants, and yes jesse james builds from the ground up and i do like jesse bikes better then theme bikes but i enjoy the show and it is the only thing i tape on tv. i work third shift so i have to tape it. My wife watches wrestling on moday nights so i had to buy a 2nd vcr for the bedroom so i can tape it, and wouldnt you like to be 15 years old again and as lucky as cody has been, my first bike came in a box and i had to put it togather and scrounge for parts. ( 1968 indian 125 enduro ) imagine getting a chopper given to you, whats that worth anyway 25,000 dollars jezze
i just saw OCC at the sturgis ralley this week they are freakin awsome. u thought they were cool on tv but they are even better in real life i waas there and a guy bought one and he spend 68,000 dollors on it thats a lot of money
I love OCC!! I am as much of a Harley nut as I am a Ford nut. I have a 01 Roadking and a 60 Flh Panhead. As for the question of what does Pual Sr. do besides run his mouth--supply the money. Jr. is a great bike builder, but he could have never gotten started without his fathers financial backing, and I don't think he could manage the money they are bring in now. Let's face Paul Sr's yelling gets things done (rember when Paul Jr. didn't show up for his nieces first Easter until late in the afternoon=not real responsible). Besides, I think a lot of it is staged. My personal favorite was the fire truck, that thing was awesome. Now we need a TV show where Bob and Pat Knight rebuild old Ford trucks.
