Theres a transmission, overdrive etc. forum listed in the forum table of content page that can probably answer your question better than we can. You'll have to clarify if your asking about an overdrive, brownie box, Mitchel or 2 speed axle when you post your query and I'm sure you'll get a better qualified answer there than here. Welcome to FTE, good question and theres been variations of it brought up before on this forum, someone might have an answer for you but you may get more guesses than answers here as it is an unusual ask.
