Boxing Frame

I will be installing a 2011 Crown Vic IFS and a '95 T-Bird IRS. How much of the frame should be boxed? Only near the IFS and IRS, or more?

I personally would at a minimum box the front, the rear I don't feel is necessary but it doesn't hurt. The intent would be to stiffen up the area with the most flex from the engine torque and movement from cornering. Plus from changing a welded in crossmember on a ladder frame to a bolt in changes the strength of the design.

This ? has come up before and the answers have always been varied. In my OPINION box the thing end to end. Again in my OPINION it transfers torque and flex over a wider area which reduces the stress at any one point. Lastly, have you seen any "new" trucks with partially boxed frames? IMNSHO

Older stock frames are designed to flex, the new stuff has to be boxed as it is so thin.
