This would be my dream ride!

I would love a bumpside crew... But my vision of what to do with it would be completely different. I'm just not digging on those bling wheels and modernized bumpers and door handles. To me it subtracts from the masculine look of the 5th generation truck. At least they didn't put Micky mouse ears Dodge towing mirrors on it I guess.... in whatever photo manipulation program this truck exists in...

those SD bumpers are hideous on that bump side.
this style is my first ford love.
i have a 71 thats been in my family for more than 3 decades.
i wish it was a crew cab, but atleast its a camper special!
i wouldnt mind a powerstroke in it, i have a PS in my 63 Chero'
havnt driven it yet, but its gonna be pretty damn fun!
i want a 41 Ford with a IDIT!

me and my dad built the FE 390 back in 1986,
we used the truck on cross country camping trips.
in 2000, we went to Las Vegas, after my dad had the timing cover replaced.
we ate 4 mechanical fuel pumps by the time we got to vegas.
turns out we got a faulty timing cover.
on our way home, i con'd him into putting an electric fuel pump in.
we got about 100 miles away from home and the cheap *** ele pump he bought took a crap.
changed it again with a holley pump and its been golden ever since.
after that trip, he gave the truck to me and went out and bought a new truck.
in 2005, i went to change the cracked exhaust manifolds, which most of them broke, so the heads came off, new SS valves, new cam and edelbrock intake, and shes still a beast...
shoulda seen my dads face when he heard it with headers for the first time..
he about shat his pants!
she dont get driven much now, but she will always be " ole faithful"

for many years we had a 69 4X4 F350 with a 427 FE sideoiler highrise under the hood. it also had a 4 speed trans and 5.13 gears in the axles. top speed was 57 mph taching 5400 RPM
try to take off too fast, and the rear driveshaft would end up on the road looking like a twisted pretzel.
i used to grab every rear shaft i could find in the junkyards every time i went to one.
we used to drop at least 5 every year.
luckily the 4 wheel drive worked to get it back to the body shop to put a new spare shaft in.
