I spent hours looking at Single Din, Double Din, With Navigation, Without Navigation, with DVD, without DVD. Decided the iPhone/ iPod controls and Bluetooth connection was all I really needed. The Grand Am I use as a commute car is relatively quiet on the highway and the ability to make hands free calling was an added plus. Especially since the Army will not let you chat on the phone without getting a ticket.

I don't have an amp or big bass speaker to run so anything I can hear over road noise is all I really need. The Kenwood had nothing but good reviews and the one I have in the Lightning works great so it was pretty much a no brainier.

Congrats on the upcoming wedding!!! My bride and I have our anniversary coming up next month. She is a definite keeper. My wife lets me do pretty much anything automotive wise I want too, I keep it within the budget so there are no issues. She knows I am a gear head and has known from the start.

Mine knew I was a gear head from day one. The only thing she comments on is money. Dirty nasty me or clothes no problem. At one time she did tell me I was spending to much time on the racer I was building. Suttle hint threw a blanket at me and told me I could sleep with the damn car.

Very nice. I used to swear by kenwood. This past year I decided it was a change so I went with a little higher end, spent a little more money for a pioneer. Bluetooth, hands free, much much more capable. The bluetooth and hands free wasnt a big deal, but for the features and outputs I needed it was added on.

It just shipped last night so it will take a few days for it to arrive. Not going to install it in the Grand Am right away till I get the miss out of it. It started out in drive with the AC on so I would just slip it into neutral. But it has now progressed to a bad miss in neutral too.

In the past weeks put new spark plugs in it, ran a can of Sea Foam thru it, cleaned the throttle body, cleaned the idle air controller and checked for vacuum leaks. I put in a new ignition control module in it on Saturday and it didn't change a thing. Next thing is a new coil pack and maybe a throttle position sensor. There is no check engine light so it makes it a little difficult to diagnosis. It runs great at highway speeds and still gets 30 MPG. I bought it brand new and this is the first real issue I had with it in 13 years.

I have a Pioneer in the Lightning and it sounds pretty good over the loud exhaust. It plays MP3's but it doesn't have a AUX in which is the only thing I wish it had. The whine of the blower is music to my ears...

It has coil on plug so there are no wires per say, There are plug boots with a spring that go from the bottom of the coil pack to the top of the spark plugs. The springs are good and I streched them out a tad just to make sure they were getting a good contact. I just don't want to throw parts at it but there is no good troublehooting tree that I found, The next logical step is a coil pack.

I got a customer coming in for a P/S system rebuild, and a full coolant flush.

My 66 will have all day to get the rear finished, and the front discs ordered.

My Dodge will be getting a very unique set of headlights. I hope im done by thursday though...

I downloaded the owners manual for the pioneer in the Lightning and found out I can order a cable to go in the back to hook up an Ipod/ Iphone so I it looks like I will order that in the future and get nonstop tunes in the truck.

Work today, doctors appt tomorrow, work Wednesday and off Thursday thru Sunday!!! I love 4 day weekends.

Thanksgiving is upon us.

So any of you guys out there pull out the stops for Thanksgiving. I am going to out to in with my future in-laws this year.

Also, I was wondering if the Summit in Mcdonough is a semi-central point to all of us. Maybe sometime in the new year we can gather there? Plus, if anyone say hey you need "x." We can just walk into the candy store and say I need one of those.

Who knows maybe if it goes well we all bring the better halves the next go round
