Sounds like a learning curve Randy. At least you have tools to tweak things on the road to keep the damage to a min.

Good luck and have a safe travel!

Sorry to hear about the troubles Randy, hopefully it doesn't happen with your recent adjustments.

I had some issues with that on my first road tractor. The trailer was a low-profile flatbed with a curtainside kit. Couple of times the frame of the trailer hooked on the frame of the tractor when making a turn. First time it happened it felt like I hit something, it felt like quite an impact and the truck stopped turning. Would have been a one-time thing if the fifth wheel on that one was adjustable, but it was fixed and happened a couple more times before I swapped tractors.

I've sold two with 300k plus and no work to them. Even an '03 wrecker with 500k on it and no problems.

Holy hitches batman that is a lot of money for a fifth wheel hitch. What makes it so good or they think it is so good? That is ridiculous compared to what I spent on mine.

Ordered it from Ford as an option - the only one available at the time that did not have rails in the bed I was told...

The B&W was available then with no rails, but it's not a Ford option so they ignore it. I'm sure yours can be tuned to work like you want it to.

You can get a B&W for the ford prep for under a thousand dollars. Put yours on Craigslist when you get to Arizona and when somebody buys it you can order the b&w

My hitch works great Randy. I tell ya what, we can trade hitches straight up (trucks included). Hopefully that will solve your rubbing issues.
