I know that this has been covered before but I did this modification three weeks ago and it is one of the best things I have done to the Ex. It used to take forever to get the last 4-5 gallons in. Now when the nozzle clicks I can only put 1-1.5 gallons more in. I would definitely recommend it to anyone with a diesel Ex.
I wish I had done this three years ago when I first bought the Ex.
My only advice is to have a helper around to assist in lifting and lining up the tank as it is quite heavy and awkward even when nearly empty.
