Trailer Brake Lighting

I have a 2004 Excursion V10 4x4 I just recently purchased.

Went to hook up my trailer and I only have parking lights no brake lights or turn signals.

So far I've diagnosed it to that I don't have power at the rear connector. 7 pin or 4 flat for these two things.

I've google'd and checked fuses, but most of the googling comes up with an under hood fuse panel that the diesels have and the v10's do not. I've traced the main harness along the frame rail and don't see anything out of the ordinary. I've followed it up the relay boxes under the hood, swapped relays around and still not lights.

I still believe that there is a fuse i'm missing. But I've rechecked and even replaced any trailer fuses relating to lights, but I haven't found one that specifically identifies "trailer stop/turn"

I hate wiring. Any help would be fantastic.

To the OP, Vinny the G-man is correct, fuse #6.

Do you have an owners manual? If not, download the pdf version from the link provided in the Excursion Forum Tech Folder sticky thread.

Thank you. After finding #6 fuse I also feel like a dumba$$.

So lesson learned and many headaches. Always check fuses with a multi meter.

I replaced a blown fuse with a blown fuse.

All is well again.

Thanks again.
