ac vent issues?

ac vent issues?
for some reason the air no longer comes out the panel vents either on auto or manual. is there a fuse that tells the ac which vent to open when you press that button or is there maybe a flap that is just stuck open? right now the air appears to be coming mainly out the defrost vents with a little coming out thru the floor.

there are 3-4 different vacuum cylinders that move doors to direct the air.. They are all controlled by vacuum hose from the engine to the **** on the dash. The **** directs the vacuum to a given cylinder. If you loose vacuum, the doors close and the air comes out the defrost only... You have lost vacuum. Either the hose from the engine compartment, thru the firewall ,between the glove box and center line of truck ....... or the switch on the dash is leaking past the seals and loosing vacuum to the other ports. Check under the hood and look for a loose / broken/ failed hose at the firewall.... If OK, check the vacuum on the hose into the control **** behind the dash.
