Remember when I said the accessory delay and instrument cluster were working as advertised? Well disregard that! I went back outside to run her around town and the radio was on and the Windows were operational.
So, circuit board medic...I will be ordering one of you instrument clusters with the quickness.
Thanks for all the help and I will keep you posted.
Very good info guys , probably not related but also happened to a friend passenger seat control the after market covers his Velcro strap slipped over the seat forward and Helt it there running power down , just my 2 Cs glad the guys got you covered
Well as Circuit Board Medics promised, the cluster was the problem. They shipped it to me within the 2 day requirement and I just installed it within 10 minutes as per their user friendly remove and install video! The Background LED upgrade looks great a well!
Thank you to everyone whom offered advice for solution!
Glad ya got it fixed and thanks for posting the result! Many times these threads just kinda fade out with no resolution for the next person to learn from.

Can you do me a favor and post a photo of the cluster at night
with the lighting on?
I had talked to them a while back about the LED system that they came
up with. The only reason I did not jumps is they had not gotten the new
white background done at the time for my side gauges that go with the
center Ford Amarillo Edition dash package. If I recall it right they don't use
the cheap stick on overlays like all the Fleabay people do. So I said I could wait for it.
I should drop them an Email to see if they have it yet.
Well guys I spoke too soon! Just drove the truck about an hour and when I stopped at a gas station I had the stomach turning discovery that my radio was on again! Sooo I just wasted over $400.00! When I reached my final distentation and realized the issue was still there, I just pulled the accessory delay relay to keep the bug from draining my batteries.
So...back to square one. Any and all suggestions are welcomed and thank you in advance!
Yahiko, yes I can and will take a photo; however, I am on the road until late Sunday with no computer. So if you do not mind waiting a bit.
As far as the detail with the cluster; it looks exactly like the OEM one I pulled out. The LED's add a bit of clarity and brightness but not so much that it is uncomfortable on the eyes during nighttime driving.
When you started having this problem did you laos
replace the accessory delay relay (ADR)? Might be two problems
the one took out the other. You you should look at is if the
ADRis getting power or is sticking. BUT that should not let the
radio turn it's self on. I'll dig out the diagrams for you and post as
a PDF attachment. 2006 F250~F350.
Page 6 in the cluster PDF and
Page 1 in the audio system
The battery saver relay sends power to the ADR and the cluster switches the ground.
So if the ground is not being lifted when the key is off and the door open then I would
look at all the harnesses to make sure something has not rubbed through the insulation
and grounded that line. But it's odd that the radio goes from off to on without you
turning it to ON.
The one oddball thing is why does the ABS have a connection to the radio unless that is a VSS signal.
But it does not say VSS in that diagram. I need to dig a bit deeper on that one.
I haven't replace anything but the Cluster. One thing I did notice a few minutes ago is after I pull the ADR out then slowly attempt to plug it back in, I can hear and feel the relay actuate. Meaning the circuit has a short somewhere I'm guessing.
Is the ADR coil actually energized by a 12 volts or a ground?
I also did some reading elsewhere and it stated that the battery saver relay is energized when the key in in run or accessory position. If that is the case then could the ignition switch be shorted?
OK some simple images after I get some info for you
I will put a drawing I did and a tool photo. You only need
the yellow one to really test with the tool is 56810 RELAY TEST JUMPER KIT
made by Lisle Corp. Lisle Corporation
It gives you access to all the pins of the relay with or without it in place.
Next here is the drawing of the circuit diagram with edit notes.
I think that should give you a good starting place. You can do the testing with or without the
relay tester. Also if you have a Lisle tool store near by that has or can order things you
can get the yellow one by it's self. Our trucks don't really have any use for the other ones in the set.
You can get the one for under $20 where the set retail is I think about $80
Amazon has the one you want here >>>
Keep hanging in there. I think CBM would of said something if the cluster did not have any problems
when they got it in and tested it on the bench. Ask them and see what they say.
Call CBM when you can, they will help you out and make it right if the replacement one is faulty. The other thing is the drivers door turning on the dome light when opened? the radio and pwr windows should stay on for 10 minutes after key is off or the door is opened. If the door switch is not working it might stay on for 10 min. You also might just shut down normal, leave the truck and come back after 10 min and see if the radio has turned off

Please let me know if the radio now times out after 10 minutes so that we will know where to go next. We will certainly stick with you until you get it figured out.

Sorry about this little
Have you gotten the artwork for the Ford Amarillo Edition speedo done
as of yet to go with that new LED set that we talked about on the phone?
