Frame differences?

I found a guy that has three 57-60 parts trucks I can pick off of for my 60. I have a few questions.

Are the frames the same between the 2wd and the 4wd? The frames on those parts trucks are soo much cleaner than my rust bucket 4x4. Would the difference be just to swap in the needed crossmembers for the transfer case or engine combo? i Know there are differences in wheelbase and to look for that.

Are the cabs all mostly the same between 57-60? Im considering a whole cab swap due to the condition of the floors in mine. At $1000 for all the rust repair panels needed a whole cab swap may be easier. That and one of the cabs he has is the big wrap around rear window type with intact glass. These donors would require much less rust repair, but I need to weigh out cab cost, repair panel cost and my labor time to fix either one satisfactorily.

Another thing Im cosidering is a whole trade. This guy has a bunch or effies, and several 53-56's sitting around as well. This makes me think a 2wd project would be easier and maybe cheaper. He has a few ****** pickups too which are cool, not to mention a ton of early to mid fifties Chebbies. Sorry for the foul language.

Let me know what you think. Im trying to get all this in my head before I dig too far into this thing. Thanks.

I'm can't answer the frame question, but the big window cabs are pretty desirable. I'd jump on that if you're planning to change one out anyway.

Frames are quite close 2wd to 4wd. Main difference is where the transfer case mounts are, and they can be switched from one frame to another.

If your transfer case and front axle are in good shape, a 4wd project is not that much different than a 2wd.
