I wish

I wish there were some way for the Administrators to place into separate folders the various posts here.

On folder for Exhaust issues, 1 for ignition, 1 for timing, 1 for carburetion etc..

That way guys and gals with issues could easily find answers without going through hundreds of posts.

just thinking

That sounds OK. Or maybe "Help! Won't Start!!" section. But, there are already way too many forums as it is. A fair number of folks find it difficult to post in the proper forum.

Fordification is organized that way. I think there are advantages and disadvantages.

Perhaps it's the way you search. ALWAYS use the advanced search feature. Narrow your search to a specific forum and use detailed key words.

Just using the search box above results in a search of all of FTE.... and FTE is very active.

Google almost always turns up posts from this site in a web search. Like this: https://www.google.com/search?q=1968...m=122&ie=UTF-8

You'll notice under the short list of results from FTE a "More results from www .ford- trucks. com" button. Click it and scroll through till you find what you need.

This has worked pretty well for me on numerous occasions. Most of my questions have already been posted here so I don't need to start my own thread. The workaround is handy since the FTE search function is, well... not so great.

I wonder if we might use a "local Google search" for this site only?

I have great difficult navigating thru the FTE searches, too. As 1972-34ton said, I google search it and it leads me to FTE

FTE already has a dizzying amount of categories, I don't think we need more. Search is your friend

maybe a genie....

I was trying to solve a transmission issue but after searching through about eight pages of threads I gave up. A google search did help but in the end I decided to post, a probably, incorrectly posted thread

If you did a google, it should have taken you to a certain 67-72 forum where the information is categorized in separate "folders" like you mentioned and I bet you would have found the information there. Not trying to run you off, just saying, there is good information on almost everything if you are willing to take the time to find it.

There is a quick Google shortcut for searching, basically just enter your search terms then a space and site:ford-trucks.com, and it will search only this site.
