trans shutter

Has anyone encountered a shutter from what appears to me as something originating from the drive line under load? Living in the Smoky Mountains I'm going over the mountains quite often. Under a load condition, up one of the 9% grades for instance, with or without a load and under throttle my 97 F250 7.3 has a shutter to it. You can feel it in your seat. I'm hoping the trans is not about to give up the ship!!!???

I'd dump a bottle of lubguard red in it and see what happens.. The stuff has worked for me multiple times in the past.

I did do that already. Since I did it I've driven about 60 miles or so. Does this stuff take some time to work into the clutch plates?

If it isn't shifting when it's shuddering it almost certainly isn't the clutches in the transmission. It is much more likely to be a problem with the driveshaft, such as a failing u-joint or carrier bearing.
