Both of those are nice looking '69 Rangers. I own one too. I've never really paid close attention to how many '69s were produced but, it must have been a lot since it seems like there are more of them here than any other model.

....on edit, I see the second one is actually a '67 or has had a lot of parts changed. Even so, there evidently was a lot of '69s produced.

Still working on my ride. 1970 F250 4X4.

All these great looking rides help with motivation.

that's what I though they were. I actually like the way they look on your truck, I may have to try a set.

That will make a blind man take a 2nd look amigo.. Love that color, and what you have done to it. I've had my '68 since '69, and have done much the same to mine over the years... 710,000 miles, and fresh out of the 3rd rebuild... although, I have the 300 IL 6

It works out to just over 13,000 miles per year. It is actually a calculated mileage, as the factory speedometer gave up the ghost at 415K and change, and then I put in an hour meter, which subsequently died at just over 2000 hrs... at an average of 50 mph, that is another 100000 miles... And then, well into the 2nd motor it ran for another 17 years, with regular maintenance until just over 5 years ago, when I started a cab off, frame up restoration, and the 3rd motor, and complete rebuilds of all running gear, as well as the NP 435 4 speed, and the Dana 24 transfer. Several valve jobs along the way, lots of brake shoes, 3 steering boxes, multiple U joints, and converted to a flat bed for 20 years or so, and now back to a standard bed. This was a working truck, and it has hauled enough firewood to support my family and pay for vacations to Baja every year... How could I ever give up on that?

New paint & body work does wonders for an old truck..

I admire your dedication. Great truck, too.

I knew a family here in S.C. that had a '73 Chevy Blazer and a '66 Buick Wildcat that they bought new and never traded in. They maintained them beautifully and, even as a boy in the late seventies and early eighties, I always admired that old Buick.

My father loved those old woodies, and in 1951, he bought a Ford 'Woodie' which was totaled in an accident, when some clown ran a red light.. Then, with the insurance money, he bought a spanking new 1953 Buick woodie, which had 4, (count 'em) port holes in the hood on both sides... I thought that was soooooo cool..
