Top end kit
Can someone give me a recommendation for a good top end kit for the 302
My motor is a carb swaped factory 302 from a 1990 model
I was looking at the edelbrock 2027 but it says 1981 or older. Is this because 82 and up were efi?

Really, you're considering spending $1600 on an old 302, in a base F250 you bought for $500 that isn't enough truck in the first place for your needs?
Take that $1600 and buy a more suitable truck for your needs.

The HO in my '85 notch was more than enough to get stupid/hurt.
If you want more, build a 347 or get a 351.
As for your truck I have to agree with the other guys.
After installing new frame perches, engine, tranny, driveshaft, radiator, exhaust system, springs to hold it up etc.. you still don't have the brakes, sway bars or gearing to do what you're asking of it.
Sell the LD and get something better suited.
If you want more, build a 347 or get a 351.
As for your truck I have to agree with the other guys.
