The door possibly got bent when the front slider wheel broke off. I used a large adjustable wrench and gently bent the door enough to clear the body. It's nice having an old van as the minor repairs can be solved with a little "elbow" grease. I lubed the slides with Breakfree (gun lubricant/cleaner). Works much better now!
The van door still sticks when it's cold. Looking for an adjustment procedure. These sliding cargo doors always have issues. When I was looking to buy used van, more than 80% had sliding door issues and the sellers never wanted to repair them.
I've never been a fan of sliding doors, not after having owned one way back when. Seems maintenance is never kept up so you run into situations like this especially with used vans.
Should be plenty of repair parts for your 2004, new OEM from the dealer perhaps? I'll bet Dorman has something nearly as good but a bit cheaper---they make a lot of stuff for OEM's anyway.
Were it me I'd replace every stinkin' wear-prone part without hesitation and keep them well lubricated and/or adjusted.
