Hey there guys in the middle of doing a 460 swap in my 70 f100. The 460 is out of a 79 motor home. It had all the pollution stuff on it and I stripped it all. Now I'm just running a power steering pump and alt. Had to get the power steering bracket because it was missing it when I got it. So it's a new pump had to press on the aluminum pulley from cvr racing. Now none of the pulleys seem to line up right. I got the belts from oreilly s. The alt. Belt is to small or I have the alt. Mounted up top when it should be a lower mounted alt.? Really need help I have some pictures of the set up. Thanks
I am running a 360 power steering pump bracket with the newer 90's pump on my 429. I just put washers between the bracket and the motor to space it out where you want it. I use a piece of straight angle iron to lay across the front of the pulleys to make sure they are lined up. Could do the same with the alternator bracket and get a little longer belt
looking at your pic again it looks like the power steering pump needs to go back. You could grind down the spacer a little. Is the pulley pressed on all the way?
