EGR test
So while looking for my miss that I have on my 93 7.5 superduty, I hooked a vacuum line up to the EGR and pumped it down, the engine bogged down but didn't stall out, is this correct? I thought I would cause the engine to shut down?????

I would assume that bogging down indicates that the valve is functioning. On me 5.8l when testing the EGR I was able to get it to essentially stall for about 1/2 a sec on one stroke, and then on the next the engine continued running, but barely. That's just from my personal experience though. Others may be able to add more.
