What do you think?

So I think I might have found a truck... 2011 SC LB 6.2 XL with King ranch interior and all the upgrades.. 126k miles on the truck, however, it has a remanufactured engine from Ford with only 13k miles on it! Under warranty until August 2016.. They're asking 19,800$ but I think I might be able to get them down to 18k out the door..

It's more of a 'frankenstein' truck as it has the oem nav, power tow mirrors, dual climate control, heated/cooled seats etc.. The only thing that scares me is the electrical side as I don't know who wired all of it..

But for 18k, I figure I can't go wrong right? Input? Anything to be wary of? Thanks for the help!

I purchased my 2012 in July of this year... I would have grabbed yours up..

mine is a XL... stock with 138K miles... all original

most likely the wiring is stock or stock replacement... easy way..

look it over well.. but a warrantied Ford engine...

I'm thinking that those where options for the truck that someone ordered. Installed at the factory.

I think it would be worth the gamble.

Sounds like a deal to me with a fresh engine. I'd love to know why the previous one failed though.

The dealer told me it lost compression on cylinders 2 and 3

Oh.. I didn't catch the XL when I first read it and seen King Ranch. That does seem like a lot of effort for a XL. When pricing it I would be looking at it as an XL not all the extras that where added I'm sure that's what the dealer did.

Take the VIN and go to this Ford website and get the build sheet for the truck. It will tell you what was on it from the factory...

https://www.etis.ford.com/

Click on the Vehicle tab and enter the VIN.

Absolutely, That's what i'm telling the dealer.. Also, they don't know the motor was replaced haha.. I did my research on carfax, called the dealer who worked on the truck and had them confirm this for me.. I have the 'upper hand' in this deal!

X2 - Its an XL and should be valued as one regardless of stuff that's been bolted on. The price sounds about $5k too high for an XL, even with nav, etc. Go to KBB.Com and look it up.

Yeah, I don't agree with pricing it as an XL.

People pay a LOT of money for a nice interior, and they're all just bolt-on components. If it has a bona fide King Ranch interior you can bet it's worth more than the base options.

I agree it should not be priced as much as a lariat which it's not, but it is decked out.. I agree with both though because if the vehicle was totaled, the insurance company would only give me what the vehicle is worth at the time..

I want to show yall pictures but I know if I do that someone else may steal my deal! Lol.. You can trust me though, full king ranch interior.. Center console, front seats, door panels, back seats with engraved king ranch in all of them.. Wood grain console with the 2011 oem nav/backup camera screen..
