1 ton brake upgrades?

Is there a kit or anything that will bolt up to the brakes to 1) elimante the rear drums and convert to disk 2) replace front calipers/rotors to better upgraded brakes on my 79 350?

What rear axle are you running? Dana 70? Dual rear wheel, or single?

Single. Not sure on the 70 or not. I could get a pic or the stampings off of it

If you want a complete improvement to the rear start looking for a 92 or newer Sterling with disc brakes and posi. In the future, state if it's a dually 350 or a srw, there are 2 frame widths involved and a different brake bias set up.

Gotcha

Here is the rear

Assuming the 60 is for a Dana 60

Here's the front. Has crud all over it that I'd have to clean off for the numbers, but someone told me it looks like a 44. I don't know for sure

Yes you have a Dana 44 front and a Dana 60 rear.

These guys are one of my local off road shops. I have bought parts from them before with good customer service.

Here ya go. Ford Dana 60 Rear Disc Brake Brackets, '77 & Newer - RuffStuff Specialties

If it is the correct 78-79 Dana 60 front you scored. That is around $1500.00 in my area if you can even find one local.

Don't know what it is and if it's from a 78-79. I'll have to get some picks of it also. How can you tell if it is?

Measure the center pins of the spring perches and make sure they match up to your front springs. However just looking at the pictures I'm pretty sure it's the proper 78-79 Dana 60 front. Be aware though, swapping to that front axle may require you to shorten your drive shaft. Since you have a high pinion Dana 44 you may not have to.

That'd be awesome! I'm making my to-do list of things I want/need to do to the truck now so the slow project can get things checked off the list. Eventually the axle will get swapped

From: like subarctic, brrr man!
To verify everything, use the axle's BOM (Bill of Material) and hit up dana's website. or post here and someone can look it up. Here's an example of my '77 f250 dana 44:
