Picked up this highboy a few months back. I all ready had the 4bt purchased and was using it to run a water pump over the summer just to make sure it was good to go. It is matted to a nv4500 and came out of a chevy bread truck. i just got the engine put in over the weekend. Now i am waiting to get a drive shaft made this week. And waiting to get some hydrolic clutch parts this week.
Also if any of you know were i could find out what transfer case i have. I will post a photo of it tomorrow some time. The tag is missing off of it. The frame is a 1973 highboy and the cab is a 79. I have no idea what year the box is.
One last thing, what is the easyest way to share a video i just got it running to night and took a short video of it running?
You either have a chain drive, sling lube, large out put NP-203 or a gear to gear drive, small out put NP-205 transfer case. What does your shift pattern look like?
1st pic 203 is L, and 205 is R
2nd pic 203 on R, 205 on L
3rd pic 203 on L and 205 on R

I am going to have to fabricate the shift linkage because it was all missing. from the way it looks i must have the NP-205.
thanks for all the help. Any places to get a seal/gasket set for the 205
Been at a stand still for the last few weeks. Harvest was in full swing here in Minnesota and didn't get any time to tinker on it much. I did get my down pipe made and hooked up my fuel tank. My drive shaft should be done this week. Still waiting for a hydraulic clutch line so i can get my clutch all done.
Ideas for air cleaner... fab up an adapter and put a mid 70's OE V8 air cleaner on it. The later 70's (at least) are set up for cold air intake which the diesel would not mind at all.
