hey guys, i am working on a e-150 van, 2005. the brake pedal fades to almost the floor with little pressure on it. I just replaced the master cylinder, bled the entire system, and it STILL fades to the floor. driving, or in park. engine running. any ideas?
4 wheel disc, 4 wheel abs...
uggg. i was wondering about air in the system, but it was never run low or opened up. idk, maybe i will borrow a pressure bleeder and try that for a gallon or 2 ..lol . i know someone with a BG machine. I read somewhere it might be the abs unit, but theres no way to diag that. Big nut to shell out on a guess...
Since you replaced the master, you were open upstream of the abs. The power bleeder is probably the answer. Note in that link they talk about the abs pumps being tough to clear out.
