I also found out about my crank. The one in the engine I bougth has EC stamped on it. The one in my 272 has EBU. From my info the EC is a 272 292 crank and the EBU would be a 3.10 stroke. I have yet to verifiy this by measuring, but should be right. Later
It's possible that you have a block from a marine engine. The 170 Dearborn Interceptor in my 1961 Lyman boat is based on the 272 Ford industial Y block .This block is also marked B5AE and was cast
in 1960.
