08 heated mirrors

Forgive me if this has been addressed but I cannot find any info on what I need. What I need to know is, can I connect the defrost wire on the 08 mirrors to the defrost selector on the climate control?

What I drive is a 99 Super duty f250 V10 4x4 and the only power it has is to the wheels and steering.

I really don't think you want to do that. You can put the wire to a toggle switch that is hooked to a power source. That is how I would do it.

Also the factory switch shuts it off after a period of time. It may burn out if left on constantly

Very true. He would have to shut it off after 20 minutes or so.

I'm looking at doing something similar to my 06 XL. I'm just going with getting the heated mirrors and the Upfitter switch kit. The switches are pretty obvious when they are "ON".
