After battling the issue for months its finally been fixed. I had the issue where all of the lights and systems pulsed due to a voltage fluctuation. It would get so bad that the battery light would blink and it would bounce between 14 and 16 volts.
After going through 3 alternators and skinning my knuckles cleaning every ground strap I lost my patience and took it to a shop. The guy was super knowledgeable and had just fixed the issue on his brothers truck by buying a Ford OEM alternator. He was sure that was going to be the problem but I hoped not for my ego's sake.
After a few hours and swapping the alternator which didn't fix the problem, it was the signal wire from the alternator that had corroded inside the harness enclosure. It was all green and crusty. He soldered it up and shrink wrapped it. The Ex runs so much smoother now. If anyone needs more information please let me know.
