Fuel Leak
I have a 1988 F-150 4x4 dual tank. Whenever I fill up the tanks I get a fuel leak just after I shut the truck down. It only leak an oz. or 2 untill I use about 5 gals. from each tank. There is no gas leaking when the truck is running. I was thinking it had to do with the switching unit.

Sounds like the gasket that goes from your fuel pumps to the the tank is not sealed properly. I just installed two new in-tank fuel pumps on my rig and it took alot of time to make sure the gaskets were aligned properly.

Thanks,but what I don't understand is that it only leaks after the truck has been shut down for 15 min. or so. I did replace the rear pump and I will check if I kinked a line on top of the tank. My best guess is that the fuel line is remaining pressurized and leaks from the top of the tanks. This will happen to whichever full tank I am running.
