I have an original 6v electric wiper installed in my 51 F1. I am trying to install the speaker on the original bracket and can't get it into position with the wiper motor interfering. I have loosened up the wiper assembly to try and gain clearance but to no avail. Is there a special trick or do I need to find a special speaker? Can I cut a relief in the speaker magnet? I am going to install an original 6v radio as well.
Rich, had no problem with mine . Do you have a correct speaker? That maybe the problem.i know things are tight in that area . Modifying the speaker magnet may not be a good idea . Yeah 2000 posts .

Thanks Denny, I suspect that is the case. I will keep looking. I was hoping to get the under-dash done so I could install the firewall cover and that nice Magic-Air heater. It's been over 10 years in the making so far so no use in rushing now!
