Arrow Brake Hardware

Can someone tell me how to install new brake drum hardware incl. wheel cylinders on my truck? Such as which spring to install first.

Consider replacing rubber hose at same time, since wheel cylinders will be swapped out. I'll post a couple links here in a minute that should be helpful. You really need a modern manual specific to your truck, the modern braking systems have some quirks that older ones do not, though basically the same. Take your time and don't get in a hurry, inspect things carefully. Rear drums get neglected, mostly.

Don't try to bleed the system till everything is put back together.

When doing drum brakes that I haven't done before, I put the rear on jack stands and remove wheel and drums from both sides. Then do one side at a time. That way you have the other side to look at to make sure you get every thing back in right. Just remember that the parts on the front side of the right brake are on the front side of the left brake.

That's good so far as it goes, the problem being what if a PO screwed up the last brake job performed? Then we're simply faithfully recreating whatever it is that they did wrong.
