I have a 1984 Ford F-250 with the 6.9L diesel that I'm rebuilding. And I am going to change the interior from tan and wood grain to grey and black. I was wondering what all models and years I could get parts from that will fit in without modification. And I was also wondering if any of the interior parts could be re-colored and look normal (rattle caned, plasti-dip, dipped, ect.) and what the parts would be and what would work best.
don't know, i never tried it. when i had the body shop the painter would do minor plastic dash piece touch up or repaint, but he never did a complete dash recolor job.

Thanks... I was just wondering because it would be cheaper than getting all new parts since some are hard to find used and not broken
What would be best to use if I painted the plastic wood grain on the steering wheel... I'm getting a cover for the outer part so I will only paint the center of the steering wheel (it has factory cruise)
that's that new crap the tuner crowd is using to change the color of their cars every other week, rite?
that stuff peels off like contact paper on glass.
Pretty much. It's designed to dip tool handles in for better grip (think the rubber grips on pliers), but for some reason people use it on cars now. I was planning on putting it on the floor on my Courier build, but after seeing how it peels up I'm going with bedliner instead.
It sometimes works on wheels and other things you can paint it around on so there isn't a way for it to peel away.
