My 7.3 swapped 69 F250 is officially no more. It seems to have blown a head gasket, and this frame just isn't handling the power and weight well. I have an 85 extended cab chassis already set up for a diesel, all nice and stripped clean. Bigger brakes, stronger frame, wider springs and heavier duty rear end, along with an ~18" extra space between the cab and bed that'll get a custom filler later Engine is on it's way out for a teardown and possible rebuild.
I pulled the front clip off the other day to start tearing into the engine and found the right side cab mount is bad. The cowl rot is pretty advanced, there is gutter rot, starting holes in the floor, the door bottoms are gone, and on and on. I've had to modify this cab a fair bit for the conversion and will need to modify it more too. The mount rot is a real problem though, since I need to locate the mount perches on the new frame.
The bed isn't much better either, it was the better of what I had at the time but is still quite rough.
Does anyone have a decent 68-72 body or cab/bed/front clip they want to part with? I am located in the Seattle area and should be able to pick up.

There's also an outfit located near the Canadian border that sells a lot of Ford stuff on Ebay. I don't remember where exactly & they have no web site but has a ton of trucks. I think they're around Oroville.
I searched CL in most every city around Wa and found a lot trucks for sale. Some for a darn good price. Most were running but there were some haulers that would maybe meet your needs.

This may be Collectors Auto Supply also located in Oroville WA .. also sells Ford NOS = 800-414-4462.
I haven't looked too much on CL, I did talk with a guy today though who has a 70 F250 for cheap. Hopefully he calls me fairly soon to come take a look. I know Yank A Part in Poulsbo does have enough trucks that I could put together a decent body, but I was hoping maybe a few folks have parts truck bits left. I'd rather help fund someone else's restoration than buy from a junkyard, and people on here tend to know what is and isn't good on a truck.
Well, now that I've moved, I found a starting point truck. 71 F250, with decent cab and bed, but no front clip or doors. It'll get the front clip off my 69 for the short term, and I have an ok passenger side door but I need a driver's door and nice front clip. The bottom of the doors on my current truck are so rusted they're completely gone.
